Default Starting Problems.......Eliminate Security System?

I keep having problems with my 1998 SS.

Every so often when I try to start the car nothing happens.....I need to let it set and reset the Vats security system.

I would like to get rid of it........
Is here a way to completely eliminate or bypass the system?

I already did the key bypass with resisters but must be having problems other places in the security system.

I had that happen once on a Honda I had, but it turned out to be the starter had locked up. Not sure how often its happened to you, or if you're just expecting to go out after letting the security system reset. Just a thouhght, though, as I had every other thing you're mentioning.

I agree could be the starter having a problem. Also might check if it's an automatic that the shifter is in park all the way. If it's a stick the clutch is all the way down. simple things even the best of people miss from time to time

See my other thread for this issue:
https://camaroforums.com/forum/4th-g...driving-62965/

You need to get the car scanned, probably by a Chevrolet dealer for Security system codes, as most OBD scanners don't cover this area, unless it's a Tech 2...

When the car is working there are no lights......when it doesn't, I turn the key and the car does not turn over......the security light stays on.
