Starting issues
 

Hey guys and gals, I'm new to the forums, but I need to ask you guys for help. Here is how the story goes: I purchased a 94 z28 6spd last week that has ran great! Last night my wife's car broke down about 2 hrs from home, so I pulled the battery off the Z to go get her car. The battery was off for about 4 hours. When I got home I installed the battery and tried to start the car. As you guys can guess the security light came on and now the starter will not turn over advance.:icon_doh: I didn't have to use my battery on her car, it was the fuel pump, so my battery never lost charge. Can anyone help me out on this problem?

Removing the battery and re-installing it is not supposed to set on the security lamp. Recheck the battery and ground connections, and hopefully you did not conect the battery with reverse polarity. You can also try your spare key, in case the resistor chip went bad.

thanks for the quick reply. I made sure that it was reconnected correctly and I do not have a spare key. Also I apologize for the double post, I tried to edit the org post but apparently I posted it in instead. So if there is anyway I can delete one of them I will be more than glad to. Thanks
