Starter Question

Default Starter Question

I was told that if the car starts fine when its cold but not when its hot that means it needs a new starter?? Can anyone confirm this???

no thats not true at all.it could be a number of things if its doesnt start when warm or its hard to start when warm

If the engine turns over and starts fine when it's cold, but you get a "click" with a hot engine, then that would be a starter problem or related wiring at the starter. But if you're talking about the engine still turning over but starting hard, that's something different.
