i figured you would find that they had two kinds, woh,,, last one. lucky dog

yup they must have stopped makeing them ,though someone may start makeing an aftermarket one,i had that problem with the oem licence plate holder ,an there are only hand full of them left too,an 6 months ago there were an more but even less ,its about $50.00 for the plate holder,for not thay still have the camaro one though as far as the grill goes an oem,an from hear fineing gm or oem parts for 4th gens will get harder as the 15 to 20 year mark for the makeing them gets very near an past for most ,dealer parts cost way to much if you can get them

Hopefully the aftermarket will pick up where GM left off and start doing more repop stuff for these cars as they start to age. Probably isn't enough of a market for them yet. That and they didn't make that many of these cars to begin with, nothing like 1st gen cars that's for sure.

yes they made alot more of them more options ,but these cars handle so much better then most any older ones ,more hp too ,the only first gen i would like is the 67 z28 302 trans am series car had like 360hp an with 4 barrel car 400hp but rated at 290hp couse of a few reasons like not more then 1hp per cubic inch an the copo cars that some make streetable with just 25 more hp then 302 but the 427 ,or an rs ss 396 ,but with upgrades wich acount to alot of money ,i would rather have 2 or 3 4th gens ,but haveing a 4th gen with a first gen engine is kinda cool too

You don't want much lol.
If I remember right they only made about 200 1967 Z28 cars.
Lots more in '68 & '69 but all first gen Z28's had the 302 engine/4speed, some very rare cars had the dual 4 barrel cross-ram with 400+hp but in all my years I've only seen one and it was a '69 owned by a Chevy dealer. Back in the mid 1970's my room mate had a '69 Z28 that I drove quite a bit,he liked to party a little too hard and I often wound up driving for him lol. I had a plain '69 coupe originally a 327 4 speed I think, that's what was in it when I got it but the motor had a rod thru the block so I stuffed a '68 Corvette 427 in it. The 302 Z28 was plenty fast but hard to get off the line with, they just didn't have much low end grunt and had to be wound up to make power. My 427 on the other hand would go up in smoke just mashing the pedal, no need to dump the clutch.
As much as I love those old cars you are right,these newer cars do everything better except for styling points.:cool:

Well my SLP SS grille came today, boy is that sucker shiny black.:icon_wink:
I still can't believe I was lucky enough to locate a new one.
I didn't realize the SS emblems were stickers, a bit surprised by that but not put off.
Now I need to find out what is the best stuff to protect the finish, not sure if I should use carnauba wax or some sort of plastic dressing or what.:icon_shrug:

Wax will be fine.

GM made 602 '67 Z/28's, 7199 in '68, and 14K+ of '69 Z/28's as this made as this model was to meet the SCCA ruling of min 500 made for public use and maintain 5.0L displacement.
Yes, short stroke for MPH, but once above 4K rpm, it screamed.

Cross ram was a dealer installed option as the Ram and headers were supplied by GM, but in the trunk for dealer install.
