Default Spacers/wheels/tires options for improvement

does anyone know if I can add a spacer on my stock rear wheel to "fill out" the wheel well better? Also, has anyone changed to a wider or taller profile on the stock 16 inch wheel, and if so do you have pics?
I have a 2002 Z28 convertible with 16" chrome wheels, and would like to explore my options for different tire/wheel combos, any help appreciated.

i thought the 02 came with 17 in wheels. i have 17s on my 93. its lowered a little over an inch. the offset on mine is not quite right so it rubs on the dips if i have a load. cant get em anymore but these are cottington wheels made by billet and are offset to the max i could get.

i had 255/50/16 all the way around on my 16s with the stock rims any wider than that and you will want wider wheels but i currently have 275/40/17s on mine and i went 17x9.5 inch wheels with a 53mm offset
