Default signal lights won't work

ok guys, my signal lights stopped working, and I can't figure out why...it's not the bulbs, it's the whole thing...usually when they stop you can still click it to make it work, but these are doing nothing....any ideas on what could be the problem??? thanks in advance.

The bulbs aren't even coming on? Do the bulbs work when the hazards come on? If yes, then I'm thinking the flasher module has gone kaput. The hazards (though they use the same bulbs) use a different flasher module.

there was a switch that shorted out, then after replacing the switch, my fans are down, my signal lights are down, there's such a long list of things fried when it shorted, but I've checked the fuses and stuff, and it doesn't seem to be working, is there something that all of them are linked to other than the computer that I can check?? please help.

have u checked both fuse blocks. theres one at the side of the dash on the drivers side by the door hinges and one under the hood in the engine compartment on the drivers side. its a black box.

Under the dash, and to the passenger side of the steering wheel. If I remember right, it is a silver cylinder about the size of a half dollar, and an inch long.

I can't find it.....I've looked and looked, I called advance and they said there is no part...I don't know what else to do...but I will keep looking..anymore advice?? Could it be the computer?? The fans don't work, and the signal....and now the car just shuts off going down the road...like I was going down the road the other day and the car just stopped...the lights on the dash and everything works, but its like I've turned the key off...everything seems to be tearing up all at once, and the computer is the only thing in the book that I can find that is connected to everything...any ideas???

The computer has nothing to do with the turn signals.
