Would a brace for a 98-99 ls1 fit a 3.8 liter or would there be clearance issues?

they have one for a V6 here.

 

Ya infound one where I live and the guys is selling it for $100. It's an edelbrock brace but I'm not sure what the real difference is between the 2 if there even is a difference.

 

If I'm not mistaken I do believe there is a difference in angle. The one designed for the V6 will also fit the LT1 but not the LS1.

So what's the difference between an ss and a z28?

 

I think some mods from Chevrolet but engine size (LT, LS) is same in SS and Z28 of same years. Some people categorize as Z28 & Z28 SS

 

if you have a v6 or SS Ram-air hood (96-97) you have to use that specific brace...all the v-8 (lt1 & ls1) can use the same. The difference is the angle in the bend of the brace and the point the brace crosses the intake.

 

Darn. I guess if I want one I'll have to order one or talk to the guys at the performance parts store. Thanks for the info.
