Shift kits for electronic controlled transmissions... nope... they will adapt to the changes and roll with the changes making them useless ..

This is for a a trans that you are tuning to have firmer shifts for racing use I believe. So basically you would have this kit installed and it will allow the trans to perform better under race use after you have it tuned. But this particular kit is probably to be used in a built racing trans. They also have the street/strip one with the corvette servo. I assume by full manual it removes the computer control completely. You have to shift thru the gears just like a manual trans but without a clutch.

If what gorn thinks it is is true. That would be fun. I've wanted a stick, but the traffic is pretty bad at night

im not sure you understand, you have to shift it for it to shift. you put it in drive and its in drive/4th, every time you slow down you have to downshift, every time you speed up you will have to up shift unless you want to dog it in a gear and thats not real good on a trany.

i wouldn't go with a manual valve body, but a shift kit can work by making shifts firmer.

if your going over 350 hp you will want a few things. servo and sunshell are a couple things that come to mind. theres some good info here Performance Transmissions and Parts from PATC 700R4 AOD 4L80E 48RE

If you are just looking to change the shift points or make the shifts firmer then you only need to have the PCM adjusted (tune) to make that happen. The corvette servo will also help.
