Default Rumble Noise at 45+ mph

Back again

Having some rumbling noise with slight vibration in my car when I get around 45 miles and up to about 65 it quiets down above 65 ish. If I let go of the peddle before it hits the 65 mile mark it still makes the same rumble sound during deceleration. I recently had the u joints replaced and repaired the ring and pinion, bearings and all. I just had the tires balanced today thinking it may be that with no luck. I have no clue here, maybe the rear u joint is faulty? Drive shaft off balance? wheel bearings? its starting to get pretty frustrated here. thanks for your responses.

Drive shaft off balance? wheel bearings?

Im leaning this way...or the diff bearings. Was it doing it before the repairs?........also, what do you mean by "repaired the ring and pinion"?

It wasnt making any of these type of noises before i had the u joints replaced. I also did the trans mount that same day. when i recently took the car to ge the ring and pinion repaired it had "slack"? ( pinion replaced, with crush sleeve and new bearings.) I was told that the pinion nut was on too tight. They replaced that. But back to After replacing the u joints, i noticed these noises, not sure if the drive shaft is off balance. I will be taking it to a driveline shop this weekend to see if it is off balance. If not i guess i will try to get the rear u joint replaced again. I dont know much about the drive train to try to debate with the tranny shop just yet since they are tryng to blame it on my wheels. They are getting time to replace but i highly doubt thats what is causing the noise. Does a wheel bearing just get sloppy out of no where all of a sudden? The noise is loud at heavy rotation at the 55mph range up to 65 mph, after that it is quiet. Hope that all makes sense.

sounds like the pinion angle is off or the pinion was installed incorrectly. did you by chance use a poly trans mount.

I have no clue what they put in to tell you the truth. I did reverse the car earlier with the door open and heard a click click click noise. Sounds like rotation noise. Dont know if i should take the driveshaft to get balanced this weekend?? The vibration is bad, very rapidly especially at around 55mph. The rear mirror is shaking. Im going to take it in to get another set of u joints...... :/

When you have a simple wear issue there are a few "common" things it could be but once you put a set of human hands in the mix it could be anything that turns, which means with a drive line that just about everything involved.
