rear end swap 96 camaro 3.8 to 94 lt1

im gonna attempt this with the help of a mechanic, but im just wondering is this even possible? any common problems? whats the difficulty? any input or wisdom would be usefull i have no idea how to even do this

You changing the whole rear axle? I have been told its a 2-3 hour bolt in job.
