Default Rear End Creak while turning

I've been hearing a very noticeable "creak" coming from the back end while turning, but only going slow (under 15 mph). Almost like something is rubbing, catching and then releasing quickly is how I would describe it. It only shows up when I've been driving awhile when it is good and warm. Also, I can feel it in the clutch pedal, shifter, and the wheels (had a buddy drive it slowly)

Any suggestions?? I would greatly appreciate it!

Could be many reasons, and some could be bad. Get under the car and make sure everything is tight and check for rust where the suspension parts attach to the body.

Thanks Pete, I have been under there and I really dont see anything except for typical rusting.. I actually brought it into the shop awhile ago for this issue and the mechanic said he found the front bolts on the torque arm loose. He thought that would fix it, but it still makes noise when it gets hot. The bolts are still tight by the way
Is there any way you could give me a little more direction?

shocks, bushings, exhaust, springs rubbing, i think mine was bushings, once i replaced the control arms and sway bar on the back it stopped.

I have a '94 z28, so the lt1. I checked the fluid, its about an inch under the plug back there, so thats fine. Bear with me here, I'm trying to teach myself about my car. I don't know what type of differential it has. It's stock. I had my clutch replaced last summer so that cant be it.

So does the first message you sent still pertain to my question?

all z28s have a posi rearend. theres a clutch inside the posi rearend, it allows the car to go around corners without one wheel dragging. if the clutch is going bad or its low on fluid or if there s no additive in the oil it will grab and make snap noises. might try changing the rear differential oil. dont forget to add the gm posi additive.

If it's a differential issue, as in sticking posi clutches, you'll be hearing and possibly feeling a clunk, like it's getting hit with a hammer, not a creak. Still not a bad idea to change the oil, not knowing if it ever has been done, but don't expect that to make the creak go away. I'd be more inclined to suspect the brakes or a worn bushing causing metal on metal, but it's hard to hear the noise from where I'm sitting.
