rear end and ABS question
is the 10 bolt rear out of the 98 + the same ABS as in my lt1?
|
Do you have traction control?
|
no i do not
|
Then no it is not, you need a rear end from a non-traction control car.
|
errrrgggg >[ i was hoping specs would work...
i want to get something stronger than my puny, what is it? 8.8? idk 10 bolt sounded perfect to me |
we both have 10bolts.
my car is not traction control. thats either in newer cars or with thews6's only..... one question: why wouldnt a TC rear work? i would assume it would bolt right up. |
I don't see why it wouldn't work. If both are 10 bolts, all that would mean is that the one with TC wouldn't have functioning TC since the car isn't equipped with it. But the "normal" functionality of the rearends would otherwise work the same.
|
The TC rear-end doesn't have the correct speed sensor mount because the TC cars rely on individua wheel speed sensors instead of one sensor for both rear wheels. Technically it will bolt up, but it's not the "right" rear-end for the car.

oohhh well since he doesnt have it it will work??
im gonna open her up on sunday and have a peepsy to get a better idea of whats goin on |
I drove a 96 or 97 T/A with traction control.. But for the condition it was in they were asking too much... so i got an eclipse.. woo... that turned out great, no?
