Rattling from steering?

First off my car is a 2000 Camaro SS 5.7l. My car has recently developed a rattle that I believe is from the steering system. The majority of the time when I start the car after it sits overnight I'll hear a rattle from under the hood. If I turn the steering wheel slightly while sitting there idle it'll stop for a second then start rattling again. Sometimes it's the opposite where it won't rattle while idling but it will as soon as I turn the steering wheel to one side. This rattle only seems to happen when the car has sat overnight when it's cold. Once I get going and it warms up it's ok. Is there a common issue in the steering that might cause this issue? Any ideas on where yo start would be greatly appreciated

yep sounds like the pump is not happy and will fail soon. could unhook the belt and start it for a second to see if the noise is no longer there.

The rattling has been present for about 2 years now. When it first started it would only rattle at idle for 2-3 seconds when I first started the car and would only do it once every 4-6 weeks. It started right after I replaced my fuel filter so I thought it was a loose fuel filter bracket. About a year ago I did have a power steering pressure line burst on me and before I realized it I had driven the car for about 3-5 miles with no fluid in the system. Sometimes the rattle would be accompanied by a squealing sound that sounded like the belt slipping so a few weeks ago I replaced the Serpentine Belt, Main drive Auto Tensioner and Main drive Idler pulley. Didn't seem to help any. Any recommendations on a replacement Power Steering pump?

there all rebuilt now so its hit and miss, i went through 3 before i got one that has lasted. the relief valve seat is fail point and thats part of the main body, at least thats what i was told by the factory guy.
