Just buy a lid from SLP or Whisper, they will get you power than some cobbled cold air set up. The Ram Air option on the SS and WS6 cars really does not do much of anything, it's more marketing hype than anything.

My friend and I put on of the SLP airbox smooth bellow kits on his car and it did make a difference...If you order it, get it from JEGS. Its cheaper and theres free shipping.

i know this post is a little old, but since that is, i don't mind turning the subject just a tad. I'm not yet a camaro owner, but i'm trying to do my research first. Question: Does SLP or anyone for that matter make an air lid/ air box for the lt1s??...

LT1's can use a cold air intake. K&N makes one they help but not like the lid on an LS1. LS1's respond very well to mods that move air into or out of the engine because the heads flow so well.
