Well, sometimes my RAP seems like it isnt functioning right.. I turn off the ignition, cd player turns off too.. stuff like that. Also sometimes when I start my car the cd player doesnt come on. It kinda has a mind of its own. I'm almost 100% posotive there's nothing wrong with the wiring but I heard it could be either a RAP module, or BCM problem (I don't remember which.) But would that just cause my RAP to be screwy or could it cause the cd player not to come on sometimes too? Also, is there a way I can test the RAP or BCM for the problem, if that is actually the problem?

Its an aftermarket CD player btw, it had aftermarket in the car when I got it but since then i've installed a different one. I'm absolutely sure the radio harness is fine, but it could be something in the stock wiring from there.

 

My CD player doesnt work either.. Bose Delco is good.. until it dies.. I get CD err when i have a CD in (both mp3 and albums) and it wont spit my CD out unless turn the car off.

 

hey spartan66... my bose did that exact thing too. all i did was went to walmart and got a cleaner disk.... worked fine ever since

this is one of the reasons i want to sell mine and get a newer one..
but.. i can't.
