Default question on intake swap

i have a 99 camaro ss with ls1.. it has no intake manifold or throttle body on it.

i recently picked up an mint ls2 intake to put on. what should i do about throttle body? ls1 or ls2? also anythin i need to know about mounting the ls2 manifold.


this is my first camaro? anyone recognize this car.

car was from acushnet ma. i would like to talk with the former owner to ask some ??s

The TB between the LS1 and the LS2/LS6 intake manifold is the same, so no need to worry about a different TB.

It would be better to get an LS6 manifold. From what I there are 2 different types of LS2 manifold, if slvr's right there were some LS2's with LS6 style manifolds, but there true LS2 manifold is not formed by lost core molding, its a 2 piece unit and doesnt offer as good flow benefits over the LS1, so LS6 are best all round. Just my 2c.

saying that, any intake is better than none
