The radio cutting out only when really hot may not be the BCM. If the amp in the back of the radio gets too hot the radio will shut itself down to prevent its burning up. When the radio does cut out do you lose the power windows too? If not then it is just the radio but if you do then it is the BCM again.

I know you would love to fish the BCM out of the hole again. I would check over the relay posts once again.

If your rear hops under acceleration that is usually due to worn bushings and or a broken trans mount. I would check that out too.

The rear suspension is the weak link in this design. It is a good design but they used poor materials were used.

Those look very nice! I don't know why I've never seen those on ebay. I search "camaro headlights" and they're not in the list. Then I search "camaro black depo" and there they are, with the word headlights in the description...

That's also one of the plans for my car, I'm leaning towards the style like Massey's, but the ones you bought are very tempting as well. Could we see a shot of them in the daylight?

BTW, I can't remember if you mentioned it before, but how many miles are on your car?

Thanks for posting the pic. The headlights look very nice, much better than those yellow things on there before. The car really looks in good shape, it's a shame all the mechanical problems you've run into.

You can buy a complete crate engine for the price you quoted for rebuilding the bottom end. Actually that might not be a bad idea. Your car would not be down for nearly as long and you would be assured of no screw ups on the rebuild.
I think I would stay with the same displacement, as there are issues with LS3 engines(and accessories) when swapping out 5.7s

Good to hear you are making some progress. I agree with Psycho that you should get a new crate engine. You can do a lot with just that engine, with no headaches of a different engine swap.

we just picked up a dropout 5.3 motor for 350 bucks, you don't need to spend ALL of that money at once, a 5.3 with heads and cam will run about 1000-1200 bucks and give you plenty of horsepower to play with for now
