If my car was built in 8/98 does that mean 99 production year?

This is the reason I ask. I have a 99 model year, gold convertible. i was just on camaroz28.com and they list that only 5 gold camaros were made in 99. this would make my car quite rare.
otherwise 1998 production #'s say that there were 1399 made with 7 being gold ss converts

look at the emissions label under the hood, it will say - this veicle meets all applicable standards for___ year , that is the sure way to tell , i have seen cars build in 6/05 be labeled a '06 yr model , just look at the sticker under the hood.
