ok cant quite afford the pressure tester yet so im hoping maybe someone else has had this problem so last night i had to pick up my sister from work and the car was running fine then i got gas and as soon as i left the gas station my car started to run like sht it idles fine but when i get on the gas it hesitates it basically feels like im running out of gas which is why i wanted to test the pressure i believe it was craby that said he was thinking my pump was going but would it be this drastic of a change or could it be that the car was running on fumes when i got to the gas station (ive ran outta gas b4 in this car and its never done this)

id at least take the filter out and dump the contents into a clear container like a mason jar to see if its clean. shake the filter a little to knock lose anything as you poor. depending on how old the filter is and if it has any fouling i would check or change. when the fuel pump went in my truck i changed the filter and it was really old and did have some crud in it. when the truck started acting up again i just checked it to make sure it was still clean and reinstalled. i then figured it was time to change the pump. it was. lol.

I think my fuel pump is bad. Whenever I try to take off gently it will kinda hesitate. It's like it wants to go but doesnt at the same time. If I press harder on the gas it fixes it self til I take off again. Then if I'm driving on the road, if I try to maintane a speed like 40mph. As I am pressing lightly on the gas to stay 40mph you can feel and hear it hesitating somewhat 'til I punch it or let off the gas. Does this sound like the fuel pump to you? Or something else?
