Default posi/lsd for my 2002 camaro ls1

i have a 2002 camaro z28 with an automatic and my biggest problem is that i can not get any traction when i got to the drag strip. it is not because i have lots of power (my car is completly stock my best is 13.12) it is because only one wheel spins and the other one does nothing. so i was looking at some LSD's. i found one on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/1989-2002-Chevy-C...3286.m20.l1116

does eaton make good quality lsd's ?

will it fit my car with the stock rear end gear ? i do not want to change my rear gear ratios because the car is daily driven and it is already a hand full when it starts raining slightly.

what is the stock rear end gear on an automatic 02 camaro z28 ?

is there any decent speedshops in canada that will not charge me an arm and a leg for this ? ( performance improvments is overpriced !!!)

please help me out.

your ls1 already has an lsd (or should). if only 1 wheel is spinning something broke. but something tells me that its working if you were able to get a 13.1 stock.

i do not think i got one. cause when i do a burnout to warm up my tires only one wheel spins.

maybe the previous owner changed it(blew it up and put a cheap one in there). i had my car on a hoist last weekend and when i turn one wheel the other one spins in the different direction. if i had an lsd both wheels should spin in the same direction.

anyway i got to change it. what are your recommendations for a new lsd ?

if you have a 10 bolt, just go OEM.

but if youre going to do that, u will get between 1/4 and 1/2 the way to a whole new 12bolt rear. I would just get the 12bolt and be done with it

how much does the oem lsd cost ?

these may be dumb questions and apologize. i do not know much about rear ends.

hes right, i didnt consider that.

if you go to ls1tech.com and get on their classifieds section you will find a cheap 10bolt pretty quick.
