Yea the fuel system has no problem holding pressure for a good while, the gas cap has a good seal and the mass air has been cleaned. I haven't check the egr or the O2s so that will be my next order of business

Is there no way it could be the security system? I and my mechanic have tried everything with no luck, he says there is a second security bypass, not the one at the key but one controlling the injectors? He's done testing with noid lights and says some injectors are not getting a ground connection on startup but all connections are good, and the pcm has been replaced. Im about ready to scrap this thing as I have almost $1000 into it and haven't gotten anywhere

i would take it to a different mechanic. someone that has a diganostic machine like a tech 1 that can see what the sensors are doing while the motor is running. i dont see how vats could do what you are seeing. heres some info on vats

He was a GM tech for 18 years and now runs his own shop and works on lots of local lt1s. The only code its givin is for an injector and they've all been checked. Its something electronic

If its something electronic, it should set a trouble code. Thats the whole premise of having a computer thats capable of doing diagnosis. Id say its something mechanical. Have you driven the car with the fuel pressure gauge hooked up where you can see it?

No I havent driven where i can see the fuel pressure, but the car runs perfectly when im driving it. My mechanic is convinced its part of the vats so he ordered a bypass and said if that doesnt fix it he wont charge me for it. He said in his 20 some years of working on cars he has NEVER had a car with a problem this difficult to pinpoint
