Well, I ended up changing my oil, 5w30 synthetic and threw in a Lucas synthetic stabilizer too. There is still a tapping going on when it starts and idles but eventually when it does warm up it goes away. May take a drive this weekend and record 2 vids to post in here or on youtube so people can give me an idea of what might be going on. But that's for another thread.

I always wondered about that. You always respond very helpfully and respectfully so I wondered why they call you Craby.
I thought it's derived from carburetor. cus he knows it all when it comes to cars ;-).

I run Amsoil full synthetic in all of my cars. The Avie has over 150k, the Z-24 convertible has over 160k, Sebring over 85k, and my Dodge diesels, over 236k, over 160k and over 70k. I change the gasses at 25k and the diesels at 20k. Never a problem related to oil related parts. I now have 3 '95 Camaros, they won't see many miles so I will probably just stick with the Dino oil they have been used to. The extended drain of the Amsoil does pay for itself, plus I am not constantly changing oil like a QiuckLube.
