Offset, Backspace and Center bore?
I was wondering information on this. I would like to purchase aftermarket rims on-line and see theses terms. What do they mean and what are the limits for my 1995 Z28? Thanx

RE: Offset, Backspace and Center bore?
Wheels that are used on older cars like mine used to be measured more by the offset method due to a lot of them having a deeper dish (hub inset from the front).
Newer cars normally have more of a close-to-flush wheel face, and backspacing (from the mounting hub to the back lip of wheel) is the more common measurement to go by. Your stock wheels have about 7" of backspacing (b.s.), so if you plan on changing the b.s., you'll need to get under the car and measure how much clearance you have behind the tires.
