I am looking at getting a Camaro. I will not be racing it(maybe racing up to the speed limit) at all just a weekend fun car to cruise around in. I know that the LS1 is the "better" engine from a racing platform but will I be happy with the Lt1 or while I long for the LS1?



As a side note I am 28 married(not trying to impress anyone) and have had a 67 Camaro 4 speed car.(Sellers remorse for sure) and looking to get out of the sport bikes.(To many car texters for me) So, I just want a fun car to hang out with my dad and friends at the cruise in's. I like the 98-02 Front end but why spend the extra cash if I don't really need to. What is your opinions?

i think you'll be more than happy wit an lt1 they will put you back in your seat and with some mods can be a bada$$ car

 

personally, performance wise you'd be happy with an LT1

but if it were me and i liked the 98-02's looks better, that's what i'd go with

 

The LT1 will be more than enough for you performance wise, if you're not looking to go as fast as possible.

but if you like the way the 98+ looks, the extra 30+ hp doesn't hurt from what everyone says they also handle alot better.
