They don't have much insulation in the back part of the car. I had to install insualtion in the back after I put my flowmaster on because the exhaust tone was so loud in the car.

I have road noise, but not more than exhaust noise. Tires are probably the biggest factor in road noise, the balder the tire is the more noise it makes, and Goodyears seem to be loud freakin' tires anytime.

I put a pair of BF Goodrich Drag Radials on my car and they are LOUD on the highway. I also get a little squeeking from the rear suspension on my 96Z convertable. I had a 95 plain-jain with a hatch that made all kinds of noise.

Ive been surprised and gratified by how queit my '98 3800 has been, and my Borla has the least restrictive baffle in it. No squeeks or anything. Yet.
Since I removed my console, tho, Ive picked up a bit more expected exhaust and road noise, but also get a cool gear whine from the tranny that takes me back to the good ole days! Goes away about 50mph as the exhaust comes on, but along with the intake noise I get a symphony. Soon I'll re-mount the 10 spoke GMs with the new BFG g-Forces, and It'll be interesting to detect any change.
The stock Monsoon can overwhelm the above when needed, and since i listen to allot of RnR and jazz, it happens enough.[8D] Experience with 3rd Gens and the F-body rep led me to expect the worst, but I like this car's build-quality.

Cool, I'm not the only one that would rather listen to the car than the radio!

My car is loud, people wont talk to me on my cell phone, and my radio wont crank up loud enough to block out car/road noise.I love noise and when I get the engine running right I'll add more noise on to back endbaby! it may be just me but the louder the noise the better the toys

... Bad *** Toys Ain't Just For Boys...

Indeed. Great title for a country song...
Back in SoCal, my wife was ammused when asked if the 5.0 Capri or Alfa 164 was her boyfreind's car.
Girls in performance often carry an unfair stigma which Ive never understood.
A freind of my kid's Mom had a cool Eclipse, but sold it and got a Hyundai Santa Fe. They gave her so much greif she almost turned around taking them to the waterpark.
