no spark leaving coil..HELP!!
Last week my 93 z28 was running fine until I parked it and tried to start it again the next morning... I checked for fuel and spark because it is still cranking like a champ and there was fuel pressure and no spark so I figured I'd change the coil and while doing so I broke the module LOL so that got replaced too.. there is power flowing to the coil and from the coil at both plugs and into the module but it is not leaving the module.. and it is not leaving coil where it is connected to the opti. Anyone have this problem?

sounds like the distributor also called the opti is toast. optical reader in the distributor tells the computer when to have the ignition modual fire the coil.

Thanks man. . I was hoping that it was something other than the opti but I guess I'm going to have to change it

check your fuses. under hood. should be a 10 amp for the ignition.
|
Checked the fuses about four times hoping that the ignition fuse was blown and it would be a.simple fix LOL out of all four times the fuse was never blown lol I'm just going to have to stop putting it off and do the opti
