Default No Spark on 1/4 coil

Hello out there, I'm out of ideas and need some help. At first I was getting spark on all plugs but number 4. Bought a new coil then got a spark every 5 seconds or so. Had already swapped the wire with a known good, switched coil to new spot it was fine. So I put in a new ignition control module, now I don't have spark on either 1 or 4 which would seem like a bad coil, but moved them to another spot and they work fine. It starts and runs, but it misfires. I tested the Cam shaft position sensor just to rule that out and it was fine, as were the wires from it to the ICM. Any help would be appreciated.

Well hang tight, some of the guys here know those 3800 motors well,I don't know a thing about them but have heard they are a good solid V-6 compared to the older ones.

this sounds like the right call. will be easier to track issue with a good scanner. misfires can be a pain to deal with.

All 3 coils are the same (other than the numbers stamped on them).

Swithching positions will tell you if the coil is bad.
If the coils are good, I would look to the board they sit on as being the problem.

Yes and no, I took it in they said the purge valve was leaking, They replaced the purge valve, it passed smog, Not sure how the purge valve affects that, but I got to spend $800. I think next time my car is acting up, I'll spend the $200 on the smoke machine and at least I'll have it.
Good luck.
