Default New Toy

OK I just bought a new toy yesterday. Unfortunatly it is not a Camaro... But it is a Chevy!! I just got a 1998 Silverado 1500 Xcab shorty. I it the exact same shade of pewter Metallic that Sarah is and runs great. Pretty well optioned, and the last owner took pretty good care of it. She even left me with a full box of 20g shot gun shells. My wife was happy since her shot gun is a 20g. I still need to clean up the truck and get a good detailing done before I dare share the pictures. I would not let the dealership detail it. The truck is how it was taken in a couple of weeks ago. A little dirty but you can see that it was not abused.

Your wife has a gun? Are you from the south? Lol jk. Glad to see you got a new toy. I plan on picking up a a truck also but a small one. Unfortunately I don't like the s10 so is probably be getting a Ford ranger. I need a small truck.

What does OBS stand for?

Yea I was looking for 95+ so I could get the updated interior. I was hoping for a 98 and this was the second 98 we looked at and this was the one my wife said yes lets get this one. I just washed the outside and vacuumed it out today and maybe tomorrow I am going to get the engine bay cleaned along with the dash and console.

^ Old body style. IMO, the 90s are the best looking trucks made by Chevy.

Right before I got my Camaro I was looking for a 98', extended cab, preferably black, 5-speed Z71 with the third door, non-red/blue interior (eww). I ended up finding one ext-cab Z71 with a MT, no third door, and I should have jumped on it, but didn't have any money at the time. Damn being really picky.

Pics now!

I put this in the 4th gen section because I dont usually go to the lounge or other generation forums much at all. I pop in the 2nd gens from time to time but... yea... This is pretty much where I hang out. Plus I own 2 4th gens.
