Question Needs Help Identifying

Hello all! I don't have a Camaro but I am working on one. I need help identifying a cap that looks like it goes over a hole where a distributor would be. 95' 3.4L

Thanks,
Jason

Not my pics but best I could find. Right column, 3rd down, and right behind the lower intake manifold.

That "cap" is the top of an aluminum housing that holds the oil pump driveshaft in place.
It is essentially the bottom half of a distributor, the housing holding a shaft with a gear at the bottom. The gear meshes with a gear cut into the camshaft and drives the oil pump. Think small block Chevy V8.
Here's a shot of the 3.4 out of my 94 Camaro. I haven't finished installing the oil pump drive in this pic because the new o-ring was missing from my gasket set.

So what would the exact name of this part be when looking it up at advance auto? What happened was the person needed a new engine. I said I would R&R. Well when I got it out the place they got the new engine from said they needed the core before they would give the new. I didn't know what all would come on the new.

GM calls the pump the oil pump drive. It is AC Delco p/n 1104072 and that includes the o-ring. I assume that you will need the hold down clamp and bolt, too.
Where are you located? If you have trouble finding what you need I have a spare "parts" engine. I can pull the parts you need for a modest fee and ship them to you. I don't foresee ever needing another oil pump drive.

I have the recon engine with a new pump and shaft but I don't have the cap thing. Where could I get one of those?
