Need some help making a decision.

Need some help making a decision.
I've just found a 2001T/A WS6 with about 46,000 miles and very clean throughout for about $16,500. With the loan that's available and what I still owe on my truck my car payment would be around 425 a month. I'm still in college and only working part time, while I could manage this payment it would stretch me a lot thinner than I would really like. Right now I'm contemplating selling my 78 Z28 but I'm not sure if I can bring myself to do it. I'm just wondering if you guys think I would have as much fun a hopped up LS1 or an old school pony car. Just looking for any advice or insight you guys can provide.
On a side note, I wouldn't even be considering this unless my Ram wasn't showing signs of transmission failure. I'm going to need an everyday driver but I don't like the looks of the Chevy trucks, won't even think of touching a Ford or a Jap truck, and don't want some piddley *** grocery getter for an everyday driver.

I drove my SS everyday for over a year. In stock form they get very good MPG (if drivin nice). They can be modded pretty easy and are pretty quick, low 12's are easy without even going into the engine. When I entered college I had a 440 powered 71 Challenger, imagine how I felt when I had to sell that car. In stock form they will beat most cars you come up agaist and it should be a fairly affordable car to own. I you can get the payment down to somthing you can handle go for it, but I would not stretch myself too thin.

Sorry I didn't make that clear. I will be selling my Ram regardless, I'll have to sell the Camaro too to get the payments down to a managable level. I truly love both of my vehicles and I would be getting a Chevy truck since they're solid through and through but I just don't like the looks of them like I do with Dodge. Not to mention I spend more time working on the 78 Z28 than I do driving it. I was hoping to consolidate and geta reliable everyday driver with some serious kick in the ***. I'm still on the rocks right now but I appreciate your input. I'm going to go check one out Thursday so I guess I'll be coming to a decision shortly after.
