Need some help on the fuel line.

I'm by no means a mechanic. I've always been into pony cars and am learning as I go.
But here's something I'm not familiar with like at all. I got a 95 Z28 a while back, and have loved it. But now I've got a gas leak. It looks like the manifold melted the fuel line where the duct tape is in the picture. I need help with how long that particular part of the fuel line is so I can replace the hoses. If it is leaking gas !!!!!! do not drive it !!!!!!!!!!! fix it !!!!!!!!!! Or it WILL BURN !!!!!!! ! ! |
^^^^ What CNCman says!!! I think that line runs all the way back down to the filter, not sure but I could not see any connection when I was under the car the last time. It runs right under the drivers side back to the fuel filter or at least that is the way it is running on the 94z we bought a few months back.

the plastic part runs down under the car behind the front tire. there it turns to steel untill it gets back in front of the rearend. it doesnt tell how long it is. your going to have to take it out and measure or buy excess. ill do a little more lookin to see if i missed anything. there is a evap hose that stays plastic all the way back but its for vacumm/vent. you can get a line repair kit somewhere. ecklers i think.

Thanks guys.
I ended up deciding to cut the old hose (which is plastic... wonderful) and using connectors to attach new hoses. Got it working better than before. Now it acts like it's actually getting fuel, hahaha. |
