Is this a trick question? PO codes are DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes).

i get what he is trying to say and he is correct. od1 codes are not the same as odb2 code. od1 comes out as code 36 or code 42 where as odb2 is read code P0404.

i diagnosed the egr system using shboxes step by step which covers the whole system.

i think its a coincidence and not a cause.

You said that you cleaned your iac and it was good for a few days but went back to giving you issues. I've had similar issues. When you have the car running, tap the IAC with a wrench or something. If it changes the idle down then your iac could be bad.

i think you are right mrfreez. i was data monotering it on my scanner today and i noticed the iac will not go below 70 at idle unless i put it in neutral and then put it back in gear. when i do this it runs fine till i go again and then it starts all over again. Im pretty sure the iac should be around 30 at idle give or take. but my car also says the learned position is 70 so im not sure whats going on there.

i also i have a relay that goes crazy under the dash when i turn to when to on but not actually start the car. What relays are under the dash that would do that?

That's your fuel relay. If it's making alot of noise it could be on its way out.

As for the iac, the car will run fine and idle fine in gear. But, over time it will rev high in gear as well.
