Need new shocks
I need new shocks and was wondering if there is any brand people have used that are as good as Bilstien but without the Bilstien price.
Thoughts? Thanks |
I've just noticed after reading a few threads that Bilstien makes a HD and SLP version?
|
Get Koni SAs (if you can afford them, and are lowering or not), Koni DAs (if you have an aftermarket heavier rear end), else Bilstein HDs (NOT if you are lowering).
The above three are lifetime warranties. SLP's Bilstein version are valved pretty similar, just a little different in the rear, but only 90 day warranty. . http://WS6store.com has a good price on the Bilstein HDs... |
Wow W6 does have great prices. thanks. I haven't heard of that place yet and it didn't come up when I searched :). Good to know about the warranty. Explains why the SLP version is a little less expensive.
I'm not going to lower the car and I use it for DD. I haven't received the FSMs yet that I found on eBay, how hard are the fronts to do? The rears look easy. |
FSM?
Check out this video on how to do the fronts: http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/suspen...all-video.html Also, if you want to talk to someone knowledgeable about suspension & handling, give Sam Strano a call: http://stranoparts.com |
