I've plumbed my entire house from new construction, as well as a number of additions/remodels over the years. Making that slightly complex looking fitting out of copper would be a cake walk.

I've been using the copper plumbing method to keep an old 95 Audi with over 200K on the road. Most of the original metal pipes have been slowly rotting away, and replacements are either not available or cost more than the car is worth. Copper pipe and fittings can be soldered together to replace just about any plumbing the car factory put in, and it will probably last much longer.

I'd be willing to make that fitting just to prove a point.
Heck, there may even be a market for something like that, since replacements are currently made out of that rare compound...."unobtainium"!
