what do you want out of the car? you DO NOT want to port and polish your heads yourself unless you've done lt1 heads before. i'm going to get mine ported by lloyd elliott sometime in the future

And stay away form Edelbrock. Yea they're decent priced but the performance gains are not that great. How do I know?[:-]

You can try Lloyds as mentioned by whammer or you can get a set of AFR's. I hear those LT1 heads are top notch but I'm only going by what I've read. In any case though you'll prolly never hear anything bad about AFR's.

AFR is a good company. it all depends on what you want out of the car. you can get the afr's and throw them on and have fun, get bored, port them and have more fun again, but that's a lot of money and time. if you just want some fun from her and an occasional track visit, then i'd call lloyd elliott or advanced induction. like i said, lloyd will be doing my heads for me in the future. i should add that porting your heads will net you next to nothing without the proper supporting mods

Where in Western Colorado? If you were willing to take a little drive you can check out Dragon Race Engineering, they're located in Broomfield, CO. Pete does great work (that's actually where I'm planning on getting the work done on my car). Check out www.dragonrace.com although I don't think they have any of their LT1 stuff listed they do work on them. Don't waste your money on LT4 heads, the performance gains are horrible for the price. Another place that gets great numbers out of their ported/polised LT1 cores is www.totalengineairflow.com
