i dont know if they make a pump that would suck fuel through another pump and if it did that in itself would doom the pump to a short life. to do it without getting air at the pump in the tank would be iffy, especially when fuel level goes down. sooo it would be best to take the rearend, exhaust and tank out and get er done right.

You can still do it in a convert. It's at the very bottom of the trunk area, right in the middle, you need to cut about a 6-8 inch square hole in the middle and you can get it all from there. I haven't done it to my car but I've helped a friend do his convert.

FIRST the measurments, i did the hatch yesterday, it needs to be i THINK 7 wide thirteen deep, but check the sticky. Second id totally say go hatch. third you do not Have to take the axle and stuff out but it makes it soooooo much easier if you decide to drop.

Somewhere online there is a step by step for a rag top. I remember seeing the brace you guys are talking about and pictures of the hole that needs cut.
