I have a 99 v6 camaro and for a while i was thinking about upgrades like you, but in the end i decided that overall it would just be cheaper to keep it stock and save up for an ls1. So alls i did was take off the front bumper to put on a billet grill, billet antenna, chrome fill ins and smoothlocks lol. To each his own, but i just didn't think it was worth it to drop big bucks into the 6er. good luck.

Plus i think u'd be making less horsepower than u expect.

Many people make the same assumptions, but there is only one problem, you just can't add up all the claimed power gains and come out with a number that makes sense. The amount of power an engine can make is limited by the amount of air the heads can flow. With the best intake, cam, and exhaust, you are still limited by the heads, which is probably 260 HP at the flywheel. The engine is rated at 200 HP net at the flywheel. You are looking for 300 HP at the rear wheels, which equates to around 370 HP net at the flywheel. Not doable without some serious head work and an engine that makes power past 7500 RPM. Your best bet is forced induction or nitrous.

stroke it. lol. get everything forged, high RPMs,full exhaust thermostat, jet chip, intake. more than what you want to spend tho lol.

come spring time ima buy another 3800, prolly a 01/02 firebird. i'm trying to figure out if i want to stroke it, bore it, or jus forge the internals andcam it(along with other top end) with jus a procharger, and N2O....

kinda like the sound of "stroked motor" tho lol. "3800SuperChargedStroker!"
