Mother Camaro, Pray for us!

I don't understand why there's so little love for the 3.4 V6. I bought a hunter green 95 convertible 2 years ago with about 100k miles. Did I put some work into it...of course. You will most likely spend more on it than the car is worth but as was said before it is a bullet proof engine that in the long run will be well worth it unless you have a complete wreck of a car. Makes for an excellent cruiser. If you're looking for performance, no V8 engine of that era will compare in performance to the sport cars of today. If I want performance I just jump into my IS-F...but frankly I find myself enjoying the summer much more top down in my Camaro

Years ago, there was a hard line defining what a sports car was; a race based car, one or two seater. Now the definition is clouded because many with a sporty car want to consider it a sports car.

I think you guys are focusing too much on my use of "sports car". My point is that the 3.4 v6 is quite a reliable engine which has been used all the way up until 2004 or 2005 where it was still utilized for the Monte Carlos and Impalas. I do not see a reason why one would prefer the v8 over it unless looking for more performance. To put things into perspective the 2013 CAMRY v6 puts out more hp than the 1995 camaro z28...yes I know there's more to performance than hp.

Of course a 2013 is going to have more hp then a car that's 18 years behind it. What do you think car companies are doing sitting around thinking about how to not make progress. Lol
