changing spark plugs/wires on a camaro would be 200$ for labor alone?? is it that much of a pain??

overall are chevys and camaros pretty hard to work on compared to hondas and fords?

craby, what in the world shop did you go to? the shop I worked at, it would be no more than $100 tops for spark plugs. The 3.4l camaro is surpringly easy to change the spark plugs when you figure out how. took me over an hour on my first try, but I figured out a way to change them in 15 minutes.
the a/c hasnt been cold in either of my camaros. Im not sure why. Never had a way to diagnose it. Could just need a recharge but I didnt care enough. I just take the tops off of mine.

then again, sorry craby. you dont have the 3.4l. I take it the v8 is harder to do the plugs on. its actually surprisingly simple on the 3.4l though.

Its a great feeling when you fix up a car to know you put some hard work into it to make it how you wanted it to be too. And we are always here to help you along the way.

I wouldn't just buy the first one you find just cause you want one. I would take my time searching for the right car. As for your Comment about Craigslist it is true there is a lot of crap on there but you can definitely find some gold too. I Mean what's your price range? If your only looking to spend like $2,000 then you will be hard pressed to find anything but some 18 yr old kids "race car". My advice is be sure you want that car before you Commit to buying it. I would get it checked out by someone who knows what they are doing and maybe can give you a rough idea of what your getting into.

The early 3.8L engine is a total PITA to change plugs on! The late 00 to 02 models had different exhaust manifolds that made getting to the plugs easy. LS1s are not bad, I found taking the coils off the valve cover made getting the last 2 on the pass side much easier. As for the LT1 engine... Lets just say it was a pain doing it on a Caprice I would hate to see how it is on the Camaro.
