Default Modules in '96

Yeah I'm new and stupid.
Last time I had a Camaro they came with 327's
Now i have a '96 base convertible to tinker with and ride around with the top down (cant ride motor cycles any more)
She's a v6 auto
not all the same color
door locks, power mirrors, cruse, and A/C all don't work
But sheruns and drives very well, and shes all mine

I bought an almost useful Haynes manual and it seems that the electrics all changed in'96.
all the door locks, trunk lock, remote entry, alarm stuff is in "modules"

Is there info available on where these modules are located?
also i was going to buy a donor car, is it true that i cant use '95-95's
and if so '96 thru ??

Thanks

Always ask those who know.

It's the Body Control Module (BCM). Under the dash somewhere. Looking at my Hayne's diagrams, '93-'95 didn't use a BCM, and '96+ did.

Thanks to 02stangt
Now i have to decide to get a car(96+) for extra modules or
get a 93-95 and replace the modules with wire.
