Magg Performance - scam?
 

Has anyone used Magg Performance before for parts?

I ordered their 6LE seat package (two seats, custom frames, and seatbelt loops). They sent me cheap knock-off Takada seats and haven't sent me the frames or belt loops.

They sell the seats themselves for $650 on their website but the seats they sent me can be found online for $318 (for a pair). The seats they sent me aren't anything like the ones they have pictured on their website.

Additionally, they dont have a phone number for customer service. I have sent three messages so far with no response. So as it sits I paid $850 and only received crap seats.

Anyone else have input on the company? Hoping I didn't get totally scammed.

If you paid by credit card, contact the card credit company and tell them you want a refund. They will work to get your seats, or your money, into your hands.
Credit card sales are never final, until you accept the deal as good.

Jeff with Magg Performance actually just emailed me back. He has been traveling but is reviewing my order and such now. Here's to hoping he makes it right. I'll update this thread once we figure it out.

I hope he makes it right but it sure sounds fishy,I try to use Paypal for as much online shopping as possible just for that reason.

Where can I find the cheap knock offs for $318? Working on a project with my son and I am looking for some cheap racing seats. Think PC driving simulator. Looking like the real thing is fine the fastest these seats will ever go is in the UPS truck on the way to my house.

Okay everyone, it's all figured out. Magg Performance is a pretty small company. The seat set I ordered came with black stitching but I asked for red if possible. Magg's seat distributor for some reason sent me similar (though different) seats with red stitching.

Jeff with Magg is giving me a partial refund to make up the difference and I'll run the seats I was sent until they wear out.

So, NOT a scam. Just some misunderstandings that the company was willing to work out.
