LT1 Headers And Y-Pipe

I am planning on getting LT headers and an O/R Y-Pipe for my 97 Trans Am. What is a good brand where I will not have any fitment issues with the headers? And would I still use the O2 sensors with the Y-Pipe?

Do a search on installing Pacesetters. I've posted it a few times here.

If you can get away with it where you live, buy headers without AIR and EGR. They go in much easier.

The best investment you can make is a set of Percys Seal-4-Good gaskets.

Will the headers without the AIR and EGR mess with the computer?

Also, is there something I can do to get rid of the 02 sensors from messing with computer, because mine are bad?

If you are allowed to delete egr in your state, then yes, it must be tuned out of computer. Getting a tune is a good idea as there is much that can be done and iot perks up the car

O2's and fuel injection are a blessing, why would you want to delete the O2's?

Would they still do their job even without the cats?

the rear 02's if you have 4 are for monitoring the condition of the cats. if you have no cats there is no need to have the back two. the front two are used by the computer to adjust the af ratio.

LPP headers are what i'd look into. stainless steel, just like kooks, for about half the price and amazing fitment

Everywhere I've read says that they've had fitment issues with LPP.

hmmm, maybe they had a bad batch come out. i know the first 2 batches they made were amazing. i will have to do some reading about that then.

FWIW, i have pacesetters and like them
