ls1 air box on lt1 car

Default ls1 air box on lt1 car

so i just got a ram air hood for my car, and my buddy has a thunder racing ls1 air box that he'll sell me cheap what do i have to do to put it in my car? i know that the piping or w/e is different up to the throttle but how could i do this? i heard quite a few ppl do it?

Depending on the height of the Ram Air hood for the Firebird, you may or may not have issues putting the LS1 lid/box into place. Some people who put the LS1 lid into place for the '93-'97 Camaros wind up notching the front radiator support to make it fit.

As far as I know you cant do it without putting the updated nose on the car. The reason for the updated nose was hood clearance for the LS1 engine and the LS1 intake is alot taller than the LT1 hood.

well the cowl for the ram air is bigger than the normal ws6 hood so it should clear?

well i might have a ls1 to go behind that air box now :P, the same guy has a block layin around that imma get and build, a buddy of mine just put a built ls1 in his lt1 camaro, if it all works out imma do the same
