low trac

Default low trac
i have a low trac light on in my 01 ss what does this mean, and also what is the best oil to use in my car i have been told a lot of different types. i have a vortec supercharger on it if that makes any diff.

It means lows traction. And as for the oil, I don't know. I use Castrol GTX High-Mileage stuff (5W-30 or 10W-30) because my car has 14X,XXX miles on it. But I'm not sure if you need something different.

You want synthetic for sure. Lasts longer, keeps it lubed up better. I alsouse Castrol.

the low trac light comes on when the ABS kicks in when your braking and the tires lock up for a moment

mine comes on when i start to go side ways for too long holding a burn out/ power slide... and when i slamm on the brakes.

Go Full Synthetic, even Wal Mart SuperTech Full Synth is better than regular oils.
