see what the cost for a high volume oil pump and oil pan gasket is. then if u have access to the tools needed to lift the motor and get the pan off its not hard just time consuming. ull need to take some parts off to get the pan out and on a 6 im not real sure what they will be so u may need other gaskets or hoses. i had to take the exhaust lose and move it also the starter had to come out, it made it way easier. once u get the pan out u will be able to look in it to the bottom and see if theres metal shavings there.

 

no money- put a bottle of molasses in it be it motor medic, bardhal or similar

 

i put lucas oil treatment in it no difference. still rattles on the drivers side of engine.I have to go to work in an hour Hope it makes it I dont want to ride the metro bus I live in an apartment You cant work on your car here...
