Low Oil Light Due to Cold Weather?
Has anyone ever had their low oil light come on in extremely cold weather? I have checked my fluid several times and the level is fine. but it is about -30 dregrees here. When i start the car cold the light will come one, but if the engine is warm... it only comes on sometimes. its pretty weird. just wondering if anyone has had this problem.

get rid of the fram filter and see if that helps. i think its the tough guard or something like that that is not any good and can mess the oil pressure up. filter can also to pieces. get a good one to replace it.

You are talking about the light for the oil level in the pan, right? Running the engine (no matter what filter it has) wouldn't cause a low level, unless the pan is getting sucked dry which wouldn't be happening to a full pan. It's probably a funky sending unit or the wiring. Out of curiousity, what is your oil pressure reading?
Btw, it's the orange Fram oil filters that are the bad design ones. The tough guard (TG) and extra guard (XG) are ok.
