TANGENT: LT1 is also Reverse coolant flow, which is why you need a special T-stat for the LT1. The purpose of the reverse flow is to cool the heads down with the coolant right out of the radiator (the coolest coolant) this makes the LT1 produce a higher Compression ratio than a standard SBC.

BACK TO YOUR BLOCK:

GM also made an LT1 with CAST IRON heads (impala, caprice, roadmaster etc.)

As far as from the pics, it does not look like one b/c the timing cover would have acam drivefor the Optispark Distributor.

Well Spartan, as said multiple times before, it's not an LT1, sorry buddy. You could build a pretty mean SBC out of it, but you can't have the reverse cooling or anything that the LT1 has, which is going to limit your compression etc. I wouldn't buy it in hopes of putting it in your car, but you can still have some fun with it.

That is not an LT1. If you were to put it in your car, there are going to be clearance difficulties with the distributor, as it is going to wind up on top of the engine and under the windshield.
