By next summer i should have funds for another camaro. I want a 2002 Camaro SS m6 mostly stock so i can do the upgrades myself. What are they going for around all of you.. around me its hard to find one for under 15-16k..

 

Why an SS? Don't get me wrong ....there is the somewhat "rare" factor but aside from that and some cosmetics cues and a bit of suspension it's basically a Z28. There is no difference in power. SS's will be sold higher because it's an "SS". Get a Z and use the money you save to hook it up. Thats what I did. And now look at it now. But thats just my .02

I just saw an '02 3.8L for $12,900 w/37k mi. from a dealer -- I think you can get better deals from private sellers...

 

there was a 2001 pontiac ws6 which is basically a camaro ss, with a pontiac badge for $9.8k and it had 42000 miles on it and it was in excellent condition. But I dont trust dealerships because if im going to sell a car to a friend i will continue to baby it, if im selling to a dealership im gonna do whatever i was scared to do in that last week.

 

oh and there is a huge difference between a z28 and a SS, z28 has a LT1 while a SS has a LS1 with a T56 tranny
