Default L67 in 99 camaro

Okay so I have a 99 camaro with blown l36 I believe is what it is. I can get a 2005 monte carlo supercharged car. What I am wondering is if its possable to swap the l67 from the monte into my camaro? And if so is there anything special I would need to know? With having the hole donor car I would think it is possable but I just want some insight as to what I'm getting myself Into? Thanks in advance!

This is not a bolt in situation. Go grab a tape measure and measure where the current throttle body location and where it bolts to the supercharger. Look at all the parts that are mounted above the bell housing, Now look at your car and see how much room you have in that location.. Is this swap possible, Yes, if you are good at custom making parts. Second the L67 can be a decent motor but you need to cool the air from the supercharger, Problem is there is no room to raise the super charger to install the intercooler. For a relatively low amount of money the NA 3800 can be made to be faster then the M90 supercharger motor.

Bottom line is, It can be done if you have the tools and the talent but it way to much work for what you end up with. There are very few people that are happy with their cars when it done and many end up finding a motor blown Z28 for parts and buy a junk yard 5.3, A lot less work and with some light mods as fast as a stock Z28.

Thanks for the information... I decided to go with the n/a 3800. But just to make sure I read it right. My new 3800 came from an o4 monte carlo a form wheel drive car. As long as I remove these necessary thing and replace with the ones on my blown motor I should be good right?

Oil Pan
Oil pickup tube/screen
Oil filter mount (on the timing cover)
Upper intake
Lower intake
Fuel rail
Fuel injectors
Belt tensioner/Heater hose manifold (replace the plastic elbows and make sure the ends of the old elbow did not stick inside the manifolds.)
Flywheel
Harmonic balancer
Valve covers (some engines have the oil filler in the middle of the cover and will not work too well with the Camaro/Firebird)
Exhaust Manifolds
Oil dipstick
All accessory brackets from the Camaro

I just dont want to get too deep off into doing this swap to later find out that this front wheel drive 3800 will actually not fit into my camaro?
