Knock Sensor
My SES light came on and when i checked the code it was a knock sensor...i went and had it checked out and was told that it was just a faulty sensor that needs to be replaced. I had heard that this sensor was above the intake and would be charged $350 to fix it. Is it this hard to get to? Anyway to just unplug this one sensor? Thanks guys.

RE: Knock Sensor
If the KS is disconnected the PCM will retard the spark in order to protect the engine, killing both power and economy. I am assuming you are talking about an LS1 engine. This engine uses two knock sensors hidden under the intake manifold. The intake manifold has to be removed to get to them. Time consuming, but not brain surgery.
